Freewriting Assignment 12. 7-21-12

Topic: Energy/Coffee Beverages


To everyone that knows me, they can all tell you how I run on a constant basis off of these type of things. My most consumed drink of an average day is coffee. I've heard many people tell me that these type of things are bad for me, and my body. To specify, they are also referring to energy drinks. I am here to defend these drinks of choice for me. I feel that these help boost me when I need a lift. Unfortunately, I need a constant lift. I didn't always drink these, and when I didn't, I always felt tired and sluggish. After I started them, I've been awake with desire to accomplish my tasks. I start every morning with a cup for coffe, and if I feel I need an extra boost to stay up later with my girlfriend, or friends, I'll buy an energy drink. I have a great view of these items, and would suggest them to anybody who desires to be more awake. I will admit that the energy drink is really bad for anybody who consumes it, but alas, I don't mind. The reasoning behind me not caring as much is the simple fact that I eat healthy all of the time. By putting only health food in my body, I feel not as guilty for drinking that much sugar. You may ask yourself if I drink soda for energy as well? I do not. Soda has addictive properties, which I choose to not partake in. Give coffe a try sometime!
